My friend, I love you but you are absolutely wrong. Story telling via film is a gift from God. It takes acting to do this. I believe that Jesus may have even acted out his parables. Your article was very thought provoking and extremely well written, but I cannot go along with your premise. Acting is art not deception.
I disagree that storytelling and acting are the same. I think they are very different. Communicating a story through verbal and physical action is different from attempting to convince an audience that you are a person you are not. Everyone seems to disagree, but I have yet to hear anything convincing. In fact Jesus referred to the Pharisees as hypocrites, which I believe in the Greek is the same word for actors.
